Milano 100 Calorie Packs

I have a sweet tooth.  And I especially love chocolate.  Mmmmmm.  Excuse me while I wipe the drool off my keyboard.  However, in starting my Operation Get into Shape just about two weeks ago, I knew I needed to pay attention to my sweets and chocolate in-take.  I’m not into depriving myself completely of something, because I know that just makes me want it more.  Instead, I have been paying attention to lower calorie, easily portioned options.

This is where the Milano 100 calorie packs come into play.  Pepperidge Farm makes Milano cookies, which have chocolate filling smooshed between two buttery cookies.  They are delicious.  I came across the 100 calorie packs on a shopping trip to Target and thought I’d give them a whirl.  The packs come with two medium sized cookies.  They aren’t going to fill me up, but they do just the trick to satisfy my sweet tooth after a healthy lunch.

I have fallen in love with these cookies.  And, yes, I’m being careful to not go crazy eating them.  Low fat/calorie foods are only diet friendly eaten in their appropriate portions.  I think I’m doing OK.  As of this morning’s weekly weigh-in, I’m 5.8 pounds less than I was when I started.

I’m not promoting a cookie diet by any means, but I’m happy to have found a snack that satisfies my sweet tooth and keeps me on track with my fitness goals.  Not too shabby.

Now I’m off to consider purchasing stock in Pepperidge Farm since I’m in love with these cookies and my daughter is in love with their Goldfish.
