Confessions

Periodically a group of other moms I’m connected to lists random confessions.  We’ve found it’s quite therapeutic to be open and honest about the truth of who we are and what we feel.  In the spirit of those confessions, I offer today’s post: a random compilation of my confessions.

I confess that I haven’t picked up Lexiana’s toys strewn throughout the living room since Saturday.

I confess that I will do so today because it’s getting to be ridiculous.

I confess that I have laundry sitting in the dryer right now because I forgot to take it out last night.

I confess that I am still in my pajamas as I write this.

I confess that my desk is cluttered with financial papers that I will continue to work my way through once I finish this post.

I confess that I despise working with numbers.  I’d much rather be writing or doing something else fun, like getting a root canal.

I confess that I really want to bake some chocolate chip cookies.  Well, I really want to eat some of my chocolate chip cookies.  I could probably pass on making the dough, baking them and cleaning up the kitchen right now.

I confess that I’m excited to take Lexiana to farm days at our local fairgrounds and show her some farm animals.  I’m hoping there is a horse.  A couple of weeks ago she was excited about a horse in our yard.  It turned out to be a squirrel.

I confess that my kiddo has a straight line of a bruise on her forehead that is now yellowing thanks to a fall over the weekend when she head-butted the wooden slatted door to our furnace room.

I confess that I will make a trip to the grocery store in the near future to pick up a few items, including some baby food bananas to try making banana bread with them because I’m not good at mushing bananas.

I confess that I’m amused at how my confessions have gotten progressively longer as I go.  I’m quite enjoying them.

I confess that I’d like to hear from you as to what some of your confessions are today!
